Mr
Godwin Nanmwa Kumzhi (Accountant)
He
has over fourteen years work experience that spans
across Biotechnology, Banking industry, and Bottling
Company. A 1994 graduate
of
Accounting from The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi in
Nigeria .He is presently a PGD student at University of
Maiduguri, and also a Post graduate student of the
National Open University of Nigeria. He joined
Innovative Biotech in April 2006 as the Pioneer
Accountant and also doubles as the Acting Head of Human
Resources. Before now he had worked for the last Ten
years with Allstates Trust Bank Plc and served in
various capacities – Cashiering, Funds Transfer officer,
Draft, Clearing, Marketing and Reconciliations amongst
others. He was the branch Accountant and later the Head
of Operations National Assembly Business office of the
Bank. Prior to joining the Banking industry Mr. Kumzhi,
worked with Highland Bottling Company, Barkin Ladi in
Plateau state of Nigeria from January 1991 to March
1993.
As a
Pioneer Accountant of Innovative Biotech Ltd, he was
saddled with the responsibility of
laying a foundation for setting up of the Accounts Dept,
Chart of Account, an Accounting systems set-up and
controls. He is also a co-participant in preparation of
Innovative Biotech ltd business plan and Financial
Projection with their foreign partners for state of the
art Typhoid vaccine multi-purpose flax factory project.
As a Human resource person he also contributed immensely
in drafting company policy and guidelines, coordinating
human resource management activities and staff welfare.
He is presently a member of the company’s management
team. |

NA'ILA YAKUBU(LLB; BL)
Executive
Assistant

She gives legal support to the Company by
drafting legal documents, giving legal guidance in
contractual transactions etc. Na’ilah is a member of the
Nigeria HIV Vaccine And Microbicide Advocacy GROUP in
which she serves in the Law, Ethics and Human Rights
Committee. She has also made some presentations on “Legal
and Gender issues” and “Workplace and
Stigmatization” at workshops.
She served as the Human Resource Manager
initially, handling issues such as Drafting Company
policy and guidelines, planning, directing and
coordinating the human resource management activities.
She is currently the Executive Assistant to the
CEO.
KUNLE
IFAWOYE (BSC COMPUTER SCIENCE) HEAD, IT UNIT

A graduate of computer science
from the University of Ilorin, Kunle Ifawoye is a pioneer staff
of IBL who joined the dynamic work team in September 2005. He
had previously had networking and IT training from National
Universities Commission, working with NUNET and also gathered
significant wealth of experience working with the Nigerian
National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in Abuja.
He is well versed in
Information Technology and has had considerable
experience in database management and programming,
spearheading application developments using packages
like Epi Info, File maker Pro, VB.net etc. He was a
participant in the NACA special workshop for IT managers
that exposed him to utilizing monitoring and evaluating
tools to administer national databases. Until August
31st 2005, he worked as the Network Administrator for
the management of New Keffi Hotel in Keffi Nasarawa
state. Currently the IT administrator of IBL, he is
responsible for maintaining a well defined database of
all organizational data, maintaining a state of the art
IT structure and administers the company's network
Funmi Olowookere (B.Sc STATISTICS)

Funmi
Olowookere Graduated with a B.sc in Statistics from the Nations
premier University, University of Ibadan in 2005.She did her
youth service and was retained as a Staff in Innovative in
2006.As a Statistician her responsibilities include design and
application of statistical techniques for collection and
analysis of data to produce useful information. She has being
involved in Studies in preparation for future Clinical trials.
Funmi also has a great interest in InfoTech having her skills
sharpened as a part of the IBL’s I.T department.
AGUPUGO
CHINWENDU P. (B.Sc. Statistic)

Chinwendu graduated from University of Nigeria Nsukka(UNN) with
a Bachelors degree in Statistics. During her National youth
service program, she was trained as a peer education trainer
(PET) under the NYSC reproductive Health and HIV/AIDs prevention
projects partly sponsored by UNICEF. She bagged an award as Best
Serving Corper 2006 in IBL.
At Innovative Biotech, she works under the Information
technology and Accounting units. Her clarion call earned her
professional experience with International Partnership for
Microbicide (IPM), Data entry and management using statistical
packages such as Epi-info, SPSS, filemaker pro and others,
Networking of computer systems and maintenance of organization’s
hard and software’s, monitoring accounts and internal auditing
Hafsat Ibrahim( ND, BUS.ADMIN)

Has a
diploma in business administration and is currently awaiting her
H.N.D. result in business management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa
University Bauchi. She is a customer care officer at IBL and her
duties include providing codes for patients to ensure
confidentiality. She is also the cashier.

Dr. ENTONU, PETER
(MB, BS.)
Head, Clinical services

Dr. Entonu, holds a Bachelor of Medicine, and Surgery, (MBBS)
degree from the College of Medicine, University of Jos,
Nigeria, in August, 2001. He has since then served as a
medical officer in various hospitals, gaining valuable
working/practical experience, before joining innovative
biotech.
He
has acted as a resource person/facilitator in various
capacity building trainings/ workshops organized for
health workers, people groups, corporate organizations,
faith based organizations etc. He has also given
presentations in meetings and conferences. He served as
the study coordinator for a HIV incidence study in
preparation for a phase III clinical Trial for a
Microbicide, in North central Nigeria, conducted by
Innovative Biotech (IBL), in conjunction with the
International Partnership for Microbicide (IPM).
As a physician, he is involved in the comprehensive
management of Patients with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and
other tropical infectious diseases. He is presently the
Acting Head of the consultancy department of the
organisation.
DR. SOPE
OLUGBILE(MBBS, UNILAG)

DR. Sope completed his
medical training at the pretigious University of Lagos
in 2000 and had his clinical internship at Eko
Hospitals, Lagos.
He worked with Pro
Health International (in Burkina Faso, 2002) , an NGO
that offers free health care to rural dwellers of
Africa. He was later a general practitioner in Lagos
before he proceeded to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in
Tropical Health and Hygiene at the Liverpool school of
Tropical Medicine, England(2005).
He is presently a
research associate in IBL
UZOEGWU ELOZONA G.
(BSc PSYCOLOGY (UNN))Psycologist/Counsellor

Elozona graduated from
the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where she obtained a
Bsc in psychology.She has working experience as a
graduate trainee counselor on HIV/AIDS and was trained
on VCT in HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted disease by
Leap Africa. She was one of the health care official
nurses that were trained on VCT/PMTCT (Voluntary
Counseling And Testing/Prevention Of Mother To Child
Transmission) by Gede AIDS and Infectious Diseases
Research Institute, Abuja.
She’s the pioneer
staff of Innovative Biotech Ltd and and has worked in
many capacities in the organization.
ABATUR CHARITY S. (B. Pharm )
Pharmacist

Abatur
Charity worked with Federal Ministry of health as an
intern-Pharmacist. As a corper and a Peer Educator
Trainer under the NYSC Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS
prevention projects partly sponsored by UNICEF, she was
moved in the campaign against HIV/AIDS, other Sexually
Transmitted Diseases and unwanted pregnancies. She
trained senior students as peer educators on
Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS. She also embarked on
Community Development projects and was eventually
awarded the best corper, Bauchi State.
She has
been trained in Voluntary Counseling and Testing, Human
Participants Protection Education for Research Teams by
National Institute for Cancer, US National Institute of
Health, and is proficient in computer applications like
Filemaker pro
Charity
has worked with many pharmaceutical companies, and
currently works with Innovative Biotech Ltd where she is
a member of the Research Team for an ongoing HIV
incidence study, funded by International Partnership on
Microbicides (IPM), in preparation for a phase III
microbicide clinical trials, also involved in the
management of patients with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and
other tropical infectious diseases ,vaccinations,
training and capacity building for organizations,
healthcare professionals and individuals and development
of presentations and pharmacy reports.
Chindma Njoku (RN Nursing)

Chindma Njoku
graduated as a registered nurse from School of Nursing and
School of Midwifery Abia State University teaching Hospital
Aba(ABSUTH) in 2003 and 2005 respectively.She Worked in the
medical and surgical unit at Rokyana Hospital Rivers State from
2003-2004.She also worked in the hotel clinic as a first aider
in Child International Hotels in 2005.From 2005-2006,she worked
in Arewa specialist and diagnostic center, Abuja nursing
patients/clients with various Obstetric and gynecological cases.
She is presently working as a part of vaccination team of the
company. YEWANDE
JEGEDE (REGISTERED NURSE/MIDWIFE) HND, PUB LIC
HEALTH, BNSc (OAU,Ife)

She
started her nursing career at Ondo State School of
nursing, Akure(1994 – 1997). She worked in College of
Education, Ikere-Ekiti. She later bagged a degree in
Nursing from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She
has worked with Laider International (WA) Ltd, Lagoon
Hospital Apapa where she gathered considerable
experience in technical operation of medical equipments.
In 2006, she was on national duty as a corp member in
Nasarawa state, serving with Innovative Biotech ltd. She
was subsequently elevated to join the staff of
Innovative Biotech as a full time staff in recognition
of her outstanding performance while serving.
She is
currently working as a nurse in the Clinicals department

FORBI JC, (PhD)
Head, Laboratory services

Dr Forbi JC is a
Virologist with research experience working in Nigeria,
Cameroon and the United States of America. Before
joining the
Innovative Biotech Nig. Ltd., (INNOVATIVE),
he was a technical consultant with the Global HIV/AIDS
Initiative, Nigeria on HIV/AIDS and laboratory issues.
Dr Forbi's research work has been in the University of
Ibadan and the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, Atlanta were he was a visiting scientist.
Dr. Forbi is a member of
the technical committee and rapid response team on Avian
Influenza (H5N1) in Nigeria.
He has published in widely
read scientific journals and he’s a member of the
American society for Microbiology and team leader, IBL
Viral research group.
SARATU GABADI (B.sc Microbiology)
Lab Manager

Sarah’s work experience
commenced with the Administrative Department of Local
Education Authority, Abuja Municipal Area Council, F.C.T
Abuja, in 1993 until her terminal appointment as Admin
Officer in 2005, when she withdrew her services to join
the IBL team. Her current duties as Lab Manager include
lab correspondence, lab staff training, supervision of
lab activities, ensuring Good Laboratory Practices,
demonstration of care and use of lab equipment,
development of Standard Operating Procedures, electronic
analysis and documentation of lab results, development
of presentations for lectures and lab reports; lab
inventory and requisition, DNA/RNA Extraction using
BOOM technology with MiniMAG, running Real-Time PCR with
Nuclisense Easy Q Analyzer for Viral Load in a single
step, one tube procedure combining NASBA Amplification
and Molecular Beacon based Detection, running EIA’s and
ELISA’s for confirmatory and research purposes on Bio-Rad
PW41 micro plate washer and reader, Estimation of Recent
and Long-Term HIV infection in sex workers, as part of
on going project funded by IPM. Sarah ran the first BED
Assay in Nigeria on June 23, 2006 as part of several
laboratory tests for an on going Site Preparatory
Studies, for the conduct of Phase II Clinical Trials of
Microbicides; funded by the International Partnership on
Microbicides.
Odunayo Iperepolu (B.Sc Microbiology)

Odunayo
graduated with a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Obafemi
Awolowo University Ile-Ife in 2004. She had extensive training
at Innovative Biotech(IBL) during her Youth service where her
scientific skills were developed. She is currently at IBL
laboratory services department and a member of the research

Ezra
Bowsan (Head, Business Communications.)

Ezra
Bowsan graduated with a B.Sc. in Economics from Ahmadu Bello
University in 1998, worked with believers magazine as business
manager in the Nigerian office and Gede foundation -a non-profit
organization as co-ordinator of communication for the 36 states
on HIV/AIDs monitoring programme. As the Head of Business
Communications he is responsible for all forms of communication
between the organization and clients with a passion for creating
innovative solution around difficult issues.
Acts for the CEO on daily running of the organization.
Jocelyn
Tandawadon, Head, Communications & Marketing

Jocelyn
Tandawadon a graduate with a B.Sc. from Ahamadu Bello University
Zaria 1999, majoring in political science, served and worked
with the office of the vice president office radio house as head
of copper’s forum and public relation officer, year 2000, worked
with industrial Alluminuin company Abuja. 2000 – 2003 as
public relations officer. Jocelyn also had working experience
and training on professional marketing and time management with
startech connections as sales executive.
Jocelyn also had worked with the Hub Business Next, (a Vigeo
Holdings) as control channel executive and account
representative. Jocelyn is now presently working as the head of
communications and marketing.

Ayobami
Oyeleye graduated from University College Hospital Ibadan 2001
with AIMT, majoring in chemical pathology and worked from 2001
to 2006 as a Lab Analyst/research assistant, University College
Hospital Ibadan medical representative at May and Baker Ikeja
Lagos coriander resources Ltd; Ikoye Lagos.

He is
presently responsible for clinical presentations on viral load

Lami Yakubu graduated as a Lawyer at ABU Zaria in
2004 and proceeded to the Nigerian law school and obtained a BL.
She completed her one year mandatory National Service at
